Clinical Locations
Family Medicine is essentially office-based patient care. That's why our three Family Medicine sites - with about 30,000 patient visits a year - prepare our residents for the day-to-day realities of office practice.
Assigned to office training for a full four years, each resident works closely with our experienced faculty in a patient-focused environment that emphasizes family medicine and procedural skills.
Our offices are run like small, private practices. They are not "quick" clinics. We emphasize a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care. Residents training at these locations see a very diverse patient population, which reflects the wider community and makes for a broader practice experience.
Residents in our program assume primary care responsibility for their patient panel, and their patients can expect continuity of care from their primary care physician. Each office integrates Middlesex Hospital's Web-based electronic health records system and other IT resources within each clinical location, ensuring medical care efficiency and patient privacy.
